For weeks we've been seeing friends on Facebook rave about Parkville Nature Sanctuary. Some claiming it was there new favorite spot and wishing they could live there.
We had to check it out.
It was beautiful
It was accessible and fun for the kids.
They had fun wading and climbing on the many trees and their gnarly roots.
There were magical dragonflies fluttering everywhere...they didn't even look real. Their bodies were neon blue and their wings were shiny black.
One hitched a ride on my shoulder for about 5 minutes.
Now, I want you to take all that magicalness and wonder and wrap it up in a lovely sparkly box and then I want you to light it on fire because there were SNAKES IN THAT WATER. Little ones wriggling by and this big old fat monster just chillin right where I was about to step.
They ruined it! We shall rename this place the Parkville Nature Nightmare.
But this guy was pretty cute.
