Megan turns 3!

Megan is 3! We had planned to have a full day of princess-oriented birthday shopping, but I woke up feeling not so fabulous with stomach cramps. We ended up hitting Walmart for a cake, which we snazzed up with some of Meg's princess figurines. I was quite a site shuffling through the store, holding on to the grocery cart for support as the waves of cramps washed over me and I tried not to lose it on my birthday girl as she vacillated between the cake you see above and homemade Tinkerbell cupcakes. Thank you, thank you my sweet Megan for picking the least labor intesive choice. (Not to mention, I seriously love that whipped icing they put on these Walmart cakes). When we returned home from shopping, I laid in the fetal position on the floor and called Mark and tearfully begged him to come home early. He came, but was in no mood to deal with the kiddos and ended up sending them to the back yard with a supply of otter pops.

Later I was feeling a litte better and we had cake and ice cream and opened presents. As you can see, Megan LOVES princesses. She is most assuredly a girly girl.

Mathew graduates!

Mathew graduated from Tiny Tots Preschool this week. It was so amazing to see how much he has learned in one year. I have to say that I had a fun time watching my "Maf". He has such a saucy personality and he loves to perform. He was such a little ham and kept giving me a thumbs up with a funny wink. I laugh whenever I think about him.

Ethan turns 7!

Anyone who knows Ethan knows he is horse-crazy! For his seventh birthday, Ethan received horse books, horse magnets, little horses, big horses and new horse-riding clothes. He was is horse heaven. I made him a horse cake by printing a horse on paper, cutting it out then using it as a stencil with cocoa powder. I think it turned out ok! Also, can I say how wierd it is that my son is now 7 years old? He is getting so big and I'm starting to see that he has his own life outside of my control...his own friends, teachers, problems, etc... Next year he'll be getting baptized. Time is flying.

Laney's Blessing

Laney was blessed last Sunday, May 4th. She was so happy all morning and took a nice long nap, but when we got to church she decided she'd had enough! She screamed and screamed all through her blessing.
