Ethan's 10th birthday

Ethan's up!

This year he turned a ripe 10 years old. He'll never return to the single digits again, and with any luck he'll eventually get to the triple digits. Clean living....it could happen!

So as he is getting older he decided to stray outside of the usual spaghetti fare and get adventurous with a more sophisticated flavor palette. (Methinks I've been watching too much Food Network).

He requested Fettuccine Alfredo with fresh grean beans, garlic bread and strawberries. Delish!

His main birthday desire was to finally get that elusive stagecoach with 4 horses and a driver with a whip. Amazon was happy to oblige.

And a cake of his own design...with...you know I'm going to say it....GREEN ICING!

We were shocked to find that trusty old Target is no longer carrying our favorite toy horses, so we had to come up with a few from our own collection.

Ethan had just spent the weekend at the Kentucky Derby with his Dad, so he was still feeling the thrill of the races. Consider this a tribute cake.

With FIRE!

Maybe we should email the powers that be up at the Derby and see if we might suggest adding fire to the track next year. I really think it adds that special something.

Happy Birthday, Ethan!
