Tonight we (all 8 of us!) got to go on the neighborhood hayride to see the lights. We had to wear our masks, but that's not such a bad thing when it's chilly outside. It's like a steamy little pocket of air right on your face.
delightful.
The horses were adorable, as usual, and we had a fun time pointing out the different houses and discreetly rating their efforts (you never know who might be sitting near you, wouldn't want to offend anyone). Mark and the big kids enjoyed sticking their feet out and kicking wildly whenever a car tried to pass the wagon...I held my breath and did not reprimand them. I'm trying to be less of a party poop.
We hustled our chilly buns back home for dinner that Mathew made and fresh cookies Anna whipped up. Big kids are so awesome.
This felt like a pretty normal day in a truly abnormal year. We are learning to be grateful for that whenever it comes along.
