Advent Day 10: Braided bread for the freezer

 In truth, we were supposed to do our braided bread last Sunday....but we never can tell what any particular day will be like when planning the advent. For instance, I had no idea a couple of weeks ago that I would have un excessive desire to do nothing on Dec 6th. Doing that much of nothing leaves not much time left to braid bread. 

So we thought that we'd tackle it today and call it a part of our homeschool curriculum. 

The girls decided that there really are only two effective methods for kneading the bread...

They begged for little scraps and made mini loaves:

Wouldn't it have been lovely if we had managed to deliver any of this bread to our friends and neighbors? oh well, we now have 6 stale loaves in our freezer. Future me will be glad to have something to warm up with other leftovers on a busy night.
