Wallace State Part 2018

Hey girls...you seem to have skipped a couple steps in the camping procedure. First we have to pack it up, then we have to unpack it, then we have to set it up, the we start the fire, and THEN we get to chill.

And speaking of packing...yes, I am a master. Mark is staying behind tonight so that Ethan can go present his Eagle Project to the board. I will take the rest of them and go get us situated at the campsite.

But first, a little more firewood, if you please!

My favorite!

Getting the fire going for tinfoil dinners.

Mathew has his own tent tonight. Well, he will share it with the dogs, but that's fine with him!

And now for the business of "getting away from it all"

Reconnecting with friends

One year the main attraction was the big teeter totter...it's still my favorite thing ever...but this year we discovered THE HILL

It was steep. It was unclimbable and so...we must climb it! Repeatedly!

Of course Anna is up for the challenge!

Dad train to the rescue.

uh oh. Awkward! Grabbing the same branch and not able to let go without tumbling back down the hill.

All that fun takes it out of a pup. Even when not in attendance.

Mari's grabbing a little hammock time with Mags

One of my favorite Mari faces :)

Deer Run Trail

Making campfire pies....LOTS of campfire pies.

Staying up and watching the coals burn.

Falling camping experience complete!
