There is no such thing as "A" first day of school around here. We go in waves!
First, we have the kindergarteners. They go on the first day, along with the other elementary school kids and those that are starting a new school...6th graders and freshmen. We don't have those ones this year...but we are sending our Sunnyside pups out the door, minus Anna...she's under the weather.
That means Everly and Laney are up on the first day.

Kindergarten!
5th grade! And she is sitting by her best friend, Juliette.
Anna is staying home because she is clearly low on energy and not up for any fun and games.
Mathew is using his extra day to dye his hair blue. No...I didn't want that to happen. Yes, it still happened. I am repeating to myself..."It's just hair. It's not a big deal. He's expressing himself. It's JUST HAIR."
And viola! Blue/black hair! Just in time for the first day of school!
The next day arrived extra early...Everly woke me up with her backpack on and ready to get back to her kindergarten class!
Wave 2!
Megan is in 8th grade!
And Mathew is ready to roll into his Sophomore year!
He may be rockin this hat for a while....lol
Ethan is a senior this year...time to bring it home, bud!
And guess who isn't dropping any of these kids off today? Me!
Poor Anna is still feeling sick. Fevers are a surefire ticket to staying home.
She found ways to keep herself busy.
She gave me a ride to her new salon.
There were so many opishons!
She stayed home for the whole first week, but she finally made it!
First day of 2nd grade!
And guess who officially has time to herself for the first time in 17 years?
