Pensacola: A new stretch of beach

Mark got up early to go snorkeling with Todd. The rest of us slept in...with absolute commitment. We were still in bed when he returned to tell us all about the sting ray and sea turtles they spotted. We shlepped around the house and had some lunch.

Then we packed up all the things we might possibly need and headed out to the beautiful section of beach that Mark had been to earlier. It was such a lovely stretch of beach...no condos, no shops... just dunes and blue sky.

Laney honestly walked into the water and within a few minutes had found beautiful shells

We stayed for a couple hours and enjoyed the clear water. There were thick schools of little fish that would swim around our legs, and we could scoop up the water and have a handfull of little clear wriggling babies.

We went back to the Flynns and we made dinner there. Street tacos and roasted veggies with kilbasa. We are trying to get to bed early so we can get up early...we have big boating plans tomorrow!

But of course, Ethan and Kylie wanted to take the little girls down to the beach one more time and Mathew wanted to get in a quick beach run. I figured...well...we might as well! Can't sneak in a beach run when we're in Kansas.  Carpe beachem!

Pretty funny that things accidentally worked out this way and I'm so glad. We love the Flynns and they are so easy to be with. We are plotting our next vacation!
