Mark and I were talking in the car one day and I mentioned that I wish that I could buy a new viola. I've outgrown my old one and it's been a long time coming....but, of course, we can't afford that with kids and camps and fees and clothes and growing feet and 6 future missions and college and weddings and....

But Mark always finds a way.
And since then, he's been taking little side jobs and flipping guitars and squirreling extra funds away in the gun safe.
The boys are away...so we are having a slumber party. The rules? Treats from the dollar section at Walmart, the inflatable mattress, a movie agreed upon by all and and separate blankets to curb any fighting.

I'm sure at some point I expected my kids to help each other out with their hair....maybe a little sisterly instruction on the finer points of french braiding, perhaps....
Since the Hufford moved in, Kansas City has seen both a World Series win AND a Super Bowl win!!
What a great game!!
And even better food and friends.
Mahomes...man...he is something else! We'd be up, then we'd be so behind it seemed like torture to even keep watching...then we'd be up again! It was nerve-wracking and so fun!
When the Chiefs finally won and the game was over, we ran up and out the door!
The neighborhood was going crazy! Cheering and yelling from all the houses. Someone was even lighting off fireworks!
