Roaring River...year 3

We have definitely worked out the Roaring River camping kinks. It took us a few tries.

But this year had all the best stuff (except for Megan and Laney).

Gorgeous weather...although the rain is always forcasted to ruin all our plans and then moves out right at the last minute.

BB gun entertainment. I strongly discourage shooting at the vultures, but soda cans are acceptable. We're pretty sure it's against the rules, but we haven't been caught yet!

Camping right on the banks of the river. Easy to hop right in and float down past the bridge.

Camping with the best people. Flynns, Terrys, Pierces and Eberts. The cream of the crop!

Ukulele jam sesh!

Tinfoil dinners on the first night.

Kids cooking up plans to float down the river at night. Mom's pretending to be okay with it, but nervously following along the banks and counting heads non-stop until everyone is out safe.

Early morning workout. I'm not sure how those dumbells made the cut with all that camping gear.

Floating and basking. Basking and floating.

That water was cold!

Playing catch and skipping rocks.

The shore crew:

Pulling up a stump from the bottom of the swimming hole. What is camping without feats of strength?

A trip to Short Stop. Gotta get those massive cones.

Over to the Redneck Waterslide. Everly remains traumatized, so Ethan and Anna were my only participants. Its too early in the year for me (brrrrr), so I parked my chair at the top and enjoyed the sunshine.

Teenager and henna.

And not to be overlooked, the fire.

The perfect camping trip. (Almost)
