Anderson's Easter Egg Hunt...the passing of the torch

When the Dallmans left, we oh-so-briefly considered taking over the Easter Egg Hunt responsibilities that they left vacant.

But I never really got around to it.

Luckily, the Andersons have more energy and have picked up the torch.

They even added the food element. Never a bad idea.

There is no shortage of eggs.

Little kids go first...that's in the commandments.

Then the older maniacs are released.

Everly. She loves her sparkly dresses and she's mastering the supermodel hair flip.

Look at that haul! No wonder she's grinning from ear to ear!

Anna had a fruitful hunt as well.

Shaving Cream Easter Egg Experiment.

We aren't the kind of people that follow the fads, but this one seemed harmless enough. 

Just shaving cream and food coloring!

Some of them turned out super cool. And some were....meh.

The girls whipped out their trusty egg painting spinners and started working on the lackluster ones.

Gosh...I love these ladies. They really are marvelous.

Cousins, slime, The Shell People

We took a quick trip to the Nelson-Atkins Museum

Then we came back to the house and did a batch of slime....which couldn't be over fast enough.

Slime is the worst.

We survived the slime and then we spread out two bags of shells and plugged in the hot glue guns and let them loose.

Here are the results! I'm in love with them.

What better way to celebrate an animal loving girl on her birthday than to head to zoo and make good use of our zoo pass? 

Merri-go-round to our hearts content!

Then back on home to have a yummy birthday dinner and presents with everyone.
