Kansas City Mavericks

A sweet night at a Mavericks game. 

And Mathew got a puck that came up over the glass! I can't tell if Ethan is genuinely happy for his brother or showing his teeth while he devised a good plan to acquire it.

We need a zoo

I'm not sure I can really convey how many thousands upon thousands of stuffed animals we have collected since we started bringing little Huffords into the world.

Like the sands of the sea.

So we must do something about this because they are spilling over into every corner of our lives.

We must make a zoo.

Don't be fooled. I have know idea what I am doing.

And now...we wait for Amazon to deliver the paracord. Don't you hate it when you're this close to finishing a project and then it screeches to a halt because you're missing one little thing??

No worries...it's totally find to leave this monstrosity in the living room for a while. 

AND it came!! WE stapled it in! (Oh yeah....I am now the proud owner of a staple gun. Which kinda freaks me out). We will fill this puppy up with our millions and billions of lovies and I can almost guarantee you that they still wont fit.

But first. We shall have a good cord thwacking session.

Her usual

She will have the ham please.

No mayo.

An acceptable amount of lettuce.

And every pickle on the premises.

Passport

I was thinking I'd be able to take my own passport photo....but I have a funny feeling they won't want me to have this much control over how I look on an official document that I'll have to live with for the next 10 years.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Megan is moved on up to middle school and Anna is now in Kindergarten. I've also graduated up a year and have honed my RSVPing skills. We are OFFICIALLY attending the Daddy Daughter Snowflake Shake. And daddy is making it official with corsages...they felt so special!

And because he totally gets that there might be a few hurt feelings when the other two daughters don't get to go....he got roses for the other two cuties!

And....for me!! Goodness. I am a most excellent husband picker.

They had a wonderful time at the dance..

And finished off the night with custard and fries at Freddy's. Mark is hoping to set an example for his girls. Their husbands will need to treat these ladies right and also set aside a portion of their monthly budget for sweet and salty nightcaps.

One of the very best things about being four is being super stoked about getting a bottle of bubble bath for a present.

Grandma Kathleen sent her twin pups with their own little pillow. Grandma really understands how fun twins are.

It's time to learn to ride the balance bike?? She's practically ready to pay rent around here....

Big brother Ethan lets her snuggle up in his coyote fur (complete with face and intact nose!)

And the bike is ready to roll! She has a sweet new pup with a helmet, and a cutie patootie basket in front.

Winter respite

I will forever be grateful for the little patches of warmth that show up randomly in January. Kansas can be crazy with it's unpredictable weather, but many times that works in our favor! We were both grateful for some sandbox therapy today.

Dreaming

We are officially in the planning stages of our trip to Europe!!! Mom and I are going to go to Switzerland, Austria and Italy in the fall. I'm super nervous because I really know nothing about traveling, but Mom knows all about it, so I'm sure it will be great. Now we just have to iron out the details and make reservations.

So crazy to think we're really going to do this!

From time to time, the girls will decide that the only way they can get what they want is if they deliver it in song, the kind of song that sounds like giggling girls, arm in arm, singing one word at a time.....
