It's time to launch rockets!!! And we don't have any of our own. We've been bumming off the Flynns for too long. So we've been building rockets. Long ones, short fat ones, complicated ones and pull-em-out-of-the-box-and-shoot-em-off ones.
We met over at Prairie Creek Elementary...we wore our best pajama bottoms.
Mark, Todd Flynn and Steve Carpenter setting up the launch pads.
Up!
...and down. The big boys will not hesitate to run over several little girls to catch that rocket.
The girls find solace in the empty creek bed.
When all the engines were gone and we had each collected an impressive amount of mosquito bites, we headed over to Sonic for half price shakes. I have finally learned my lesson and make the kids get "minis". It's the perfect amount of ice cream, nobody gets a bellyache and I don't feel obligated to eat the last half of everyone's order because it turned out to be too much.
Because I would.
