Mother's Day 2019

Oooooh! It's the most wonderful day of the year!

Oh wow....good morning sunshine!

After church I get to hand out and do as I please while the troops chip in to make one of my favorite meals.....bbq food!

Busy bees

Besides picking up a trunkful of baked goods this morning, we also had a birthday lunch with Ethan at KC Joes!!

Went to the Fifth grade wax museum to see Laney tell us all about Emily Geiger....

And got Everly all dolled up and over to the studio for her dance pictures.

And that's just the extracurriculars!!

Project graduation

First, I succumbed to the endless emails pleading for people to come to a meeting.

Then I attended a meeting and sat without comment.

Then I signed up for the committee that sounded like the least amount of work.

Then I showed up for the next meeting...no one else on my committee showed up for that meeting. Then someone mentioned that they really need to get a hold of Zach Wilson and reserve inflatables for the graduation party. I open my mouth..."I know Zach Wilson". I am now on the entertainment committee.

I am the entertainment committee.

And now I am calling vendors and paying deposits. I am picking up day-old bakery donations for the dessert table and the cake walk.

The girls were dressing up like teachers today. Obviously, that means glasses and cardigans!

Welcome to adulthood

It's not his birthday. That's still 5 days away. But we celebrate tonight because we are slam packed for the next several weeks...graduation parties, dance recitals, band banquets, family in town for graduation, and end-of-year EVERYTHING. 

And I think it's kind of fitting. As adults, we learn to do what works and roll with the punches. We celebrate when we can and work hard when we need to. 

Happy 18th birthday Ethan. Great things lie ahead!!
